Puri: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday held a review meeting to streamline rituals and darshan during Snana Purnima and Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
Later, the Law Minister also reviewed the streamlining of the darshan system at Srimandir. SJTA Chief Administrator Vir Vikram Yadav, Puri Collector Sidharth Shankar Swain, SP Pinak Mishra and temple managing committee members and servitors were present in the meeting.
Speaking to media persons after the review meeting, Law Minister Harichandan said that after the completion of the Rath Yatra, priority will be given to devotees’ darshan system and rituals of Mahaprabhu Jagannath.
“Since this year as per the Srimandir almanac the ‘Anasar’ period of the Holy Trinity has been reduced to 13 days against the normal fifteen days, he said.
“A blueprint has been prepared for Snana Purnima and Rath Yatra while the Chief Minister conducted a high-level review today,” Harichandan said and added that “a high-level meeting in this regard will be held on June 19”.
Deva Snana Purnima: Puri Police Holds Meeting With Chhattisa Niyog
Puri: The holy Deva Snana Purnima of the Lord Jagannath will be held on June 22nd and preparations have already been started by the district and the police administrations.
On Monday, Puri SP Pinak Mishra held an important meeting with the Chhattisa Niyog of the temple. However, the Sevayat representative of Chattisha Niyoga informed the SP about the problems faced during the Snana Purnima last year.
Discussion were held organising the ceremonial bath of the holy trinity smoothly this year, timely completiion of all rituals and arranging hassle-free darshan system for devotees.
Additional SP Vishnu Prasad Pati,Srimandir Deputy Commandant Kaushik Naik, Assistant Commandant DC Jitendra Kumar Dehuri, Puri City DSP Prashant Kumar Sahu, Town Police Station IIC Sunil Pradhan and all police officers were present in this meeting.
