Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, three children died after drowning in a pond near Atrukana Anganwadi centre within Soro police station limits in Hatadihi block of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
According to sources, some locals spotted the kids floating in the water and rushed them to the nearby Agarpada Community Health Center in Bhadrak district where doctors declared all three ‘brought dead’.
It is suspected that the three kids, who had come to Aganwadi centre, accidentally fell in the pond while playing nearby this morning.
The deceased children have been identified as Lipsa Patra (3), Payal Patra (4), and Bharati Patra (4). A pall of gloom descended on the locality following the tragic death of the three children due to drowning.
