Bhubaneswar: In honour of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn candlelight march was
organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Bhubaneswar office under the Ministry of
Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The event, held on Thursday, served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifice and bravery of Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country during the Kargil War of 1999.
The march commenced from the premises of Sainik School, Bhubaneswar, progressing towards Acharya
Vihar. Students, accompanied by their parents, departmental officials, staff of the Government of India,
Colonel Balu Bharat, Principal of Sainik School, and other school officials, participated in the march. The
event was organized under the supervision of Sri Mahendra Prasad Jena, Field Exhibition Officer at CBC
Bhubaneswar. This commemoration aims to instill the spirit of patriotism and convey the heroic tales of
the martyrs to the younger generation.
To further honor the legacy of these heroes, the Government of India is observing Kargil Vijay Diwas
nationwide on July 26. CBC Bhubaneswar has planned additional programs on July 26 and 27 at the
Sainik School, Bhubaneswar premises. These events are designed to educate students and the general
public about the bravery of India’s sons and their invaluable contribution to the nation.
