Bhubaneswar: Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in five districts of Odisha, including Cuttack, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Jajpur, within the next two hours as per a prediction from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.
“As per latest radar imagery, moderate rain with one or two spells of intense / heavy falls very likely over some parts of Cuttack (Including Cuttack city area), Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur during next two hours,” a bulletin issued by the MeT office read.
“Water logging in low lying area, occasionally poor visibility is very likely. Avoid movement in affected areas and make arrangements for drainage of excess water. People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly,” the bulletin read further.
An Orange alert has been issued for these areas. Water logging and poor visibility are likely. Light to moderate rain with lightning is expected in Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Gajapati, Sundergarh, and Baragarh.
