Sundargarh: A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Kusumundi village under Koida range in sundargarh district on Saturday.
As per reports, the elephant attacked the woman while she was going out from her house due to the fear of the elephant. As a result, she died on the spot.
On receiving the information, the forest officials reached the scene and seized the body for post-mortem. It is worth mentioning that elephants often enter in those areas and cause harm to the villagers and kill them. The elephants also destroy the crops as well as accessories of the villagers.
