Khurda: A youth was killed after a motorcycle hit him at Narayani Chhak under Balipatna police limits in Khordha district late Friday night.
The deceased youth has been identified as Laxmidhar Behera of Aitalang village.
Reportedly, the incident took place while Laxmidhar was heading towards his dairy farm when a speeding motorcycle hit him. Following this, he sustained grievous injuries.
Immediately, locals rescued and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Later, he was shifted to AIIMS as his health condition deteriorated. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment today.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and launched a probe in this regard.
