Malkangiri: The body of a youth was found hanging from a tree at a forest near MV-66 village under Padiya block in Malkangiri district. The deceased has been identified as Sukumar Biswas from the same village.
According to sources, Sukumar left home last night and did not return for long. Following this, the family members launched a frantic search but in vain.
Later, some locals spotted Sukumar’s body hanging from a tree and informed family members. Following this, the family member lodged a written complaint with the local police station.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case of unnatural death and recovered the body for post-mortem.
Sukumar reportedly remained anxious due to alcoholism which led to his death, family sources claimed. However, the actual reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained.
