Soro: A youth sustained critical injuries after being hacked by two miscreants near Ice Factory in Soro Municipality on Sunday.
According to sources, Ganesh Singh and one of his accomplices were standing in front of the country liquor counter at Soro Ice Factory Road today when two bike-borne miscreants attacked them.
The miscreants hacked Ganesh with a machete following which he was critically injured. Another youth who was accompanying Ganesh also sustained injuries in the attack.
Some locals rescued both and admitted them to Soro Hospital. As the condition of Ganesh was very serious, the doctor shifted him to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital.
On receiving the information, Soro police reached the spot and started an investigation. The attack was a fallout of a dispute between Ganesh and some bootleggers from Balasore over the illegal liquor trade.
