Semiliguda: Two thieves have been arrested by Sunabeda Police in Koraput district on charges of stealing gold jewellery from a house in Semiliguda Nehru Nagar.
According to information, the duo stole gold jewellery from the house of one, R Ravi Kumar, a few days ago. The accused persons burgled the house then Ravi Kumar when the latter had gone to Andhra Pradesh for an eye operation.
On the basis of a complaint, police registered a case (No.33 Dtd.02.03.2020) U/S 457/380 of the IPC and started the investigation.
Following a probe, the thieves were traced and 6.640 gms of gold jewellery and mobile phones seized from their possession, said the police and added that they have been forwarded to the court.
