The official website of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) has been hacked, reportedly by a group identifying itself as the “Pakistan Cyber Force.”
The cyberattack comes in the wake of growing tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s military response through Operation Sindoor.
The website became non-functional on Wednesday, with its homepage defaced and a message claiming responsibility for the breach. Visitors attempting to access the site today were met with a blank screen, as the portal remains inaccessible. No official statement has been issued by OAVS authorities regarding the cyberattack, leaving the motive behind it unclear.
Cybersecurity experts have expressed growing concerns over the vulnerability of India’s digital infrastructure, particularly against foreign cyber threats. This incident underscores the increasing risks faced by government-run platforms, calling for heightened security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
As the geopolitical climate remains volatile, digital defence strategies will be crucial in countering such attacks and ensuring the integrity of India’s online platforms.
