Kendrapara: The annual bird census started in Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district on Wednesday.
The census began at 6 am today by members of 16 teams in five ranges under the wildlife division. Counting of birds is being conducted in Rajnagar, Kanika, Gahirmatha and Kujang.
Meanwhile, the annual bird census is being carried out in Chilika lake since yesterday.
