Sambalpur: A private college in Sambalpur’s Dhanakouda was the latest institute in Odisha to report six Covid-19 cases on Monday.
Confirming the development, district medical officials said that the students, who have tested positive for Covid-19, were staying in the hostel of the college.
All students were kept isolation and contact tracing is underway. The district administration would take a call on shutting the institution for a while, officials said.
It is pertinent to mention here that Covid-19 cases are witnessing a steep rise in Odisha. Fresh Covid cases are also being reported from several educational institutions in the state.
