Cuttack: A woman was allegedly killed by her nephew during a clash between their families at Kathakhunta village under Narasinghpur police limits of Cuttack district.
According to sources, the incident occurred while one Badal Mahallik from work when he met his cousin Alok Mahallik
had a scuffle with him. Later in the night, Badal’s family attacked Alok, his father Siba Mahallik and mother Bini Mahallik with sharp weapons.
While Bini died on the spot, locals rushed Siba and Alok to Narsinghpur CHC in a critical condition. They were later shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital.
Reportedly, Badal and Alok had an ongoing dispute over contract work as all the government contracts of the village had been awarded to Alok.
