Sundergarh: Forest department officials have been detained by villagers at Jakeikela village in Sundargarh district over the elephant menace in the area.
Reportedly, the incident took place while Forest officials had gone to ward off elephants. Meanwhile, the villagers detained the officials due to the delay in getting compensation for the crops damaged by the elephants.
