Bhawanipatana: Two inmates who were under-trial prisoners managed to escape from Bhawanipatna jail by scaling the boundary wall on Sunday morning. The prison authorities searched for them frantically but were unable to locate them.
The escapees are Sikandar Jal hailing from Nuapada district and Neelmani Majhi of Dharmagarh. They had been arrested under the POCSO Act.
However, it is unclear how they managed to escape the jail. The jail authorities have informed all police stations in the district about the incident.
