Sundargarh: As many as 10 persons sustained injuries, 2 out of them were critical after a truck hit the bus they were travelling in near Khaman under Tikayatpali police limits in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
As per reports, the road accident occurred around 3:00 am when the passenger bus named ‘Anupama’ was on its way to Rourkela from Aul, Kendrapara. On National Highway 143, a speeding truck hit the bus head-on.
As a result, 10 persons were injured. All the injured persons have been rescued by the locals and the police and admitted to the Bonai hospital for treatment. After preliminary treatment, they were shifted to Rourkela. The drivers of the two vehicles have fled the spot after the incident.
