Puri: Tension sparked in Puri town after a fruit seller was allegedly thrashed by police here.
As per available information, a cop allegedly used his powers to harass and beat a fruit seller near Badasankha.
The victim sustained critical injuries in the incident.
Reportedly, a journalist was also allegedly beaten up by the policemen for taking pictures of the incident.
While the video of the incident surfaced, bringing fore the incident, the Additional SP of Puri has assured that an inquiry will be initiated soon, sources said.
