Stone Falls Off Baraha Temple Inside Puri Srimandir

Puri: A stone weighing more than one kilogram fell off the Baraha Temple in front of Bimala Temple inside Puri Srimandir on Saturday morning.

The stone fell on the tin roof of the Ekadashi temple adjacent to the Jagannath Temple. The weight of the fallen stone is estimated to be more than one kg.

Reportedly, the stone has been collected by the commander of the temple and ASI officials have been informed in this regard.

The Barah temple is located behind the south chamber of the temple and in front of the Bimala temple. The upper portion was repaired by ASI. However, it is suspected that the boulder fell off due to the movement of monkeys in the temple.

On the other hand, the ASI has been working on the restoration of the Nata Mandap of the Puri Srimandir for the past few days.
