Authorities in Pipili reported a bomb threat to the sacred Sakhigopal Barala Balunkeshwara temple after an unknown person sent a threatening SMS to a temple servitor.
The message warned that the temple would be blown up if Rs 50 lakh was not transferred through PhonePe. The servitor immediately alerted local police, who began investigating the source of the message.
Officials confirmed that the threat came from an unidentified mobile number. Police teams started tracing the sender and tightened security around the temple premises. Devotees expressed concern over the shocking incident, while authorities assured them of strict vigilance.
The district administration deployed additional forces to secure the temple. Security personnel monitored entry points and checked suspicious movements. Police also initiated technical tracking to identify the origin of the SMS.
