Bhadrak: One person was killed while two others sustained critical injuries after a car rammed into a water tanker on NH-16 near Charampa in Bhadrak district.
The deceased has been identified as Maharani Pradhan from the Jaleswar area.
According to reports, the incident took place when the driver of a speeding car lost control over the wheels and rammed into a parked water tanker near Charampa area injuring three persons.
On being informed, the firefighters reached the spot and initiated a rescue operation.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. However one of them succumbed to his injuries.
Further investigation is underway in this regard.
