Cuttack: A man and his daughter were killed following a head-on collision between a two-wheeler and a pick-up van on Cuttack-Chandbali road under Jagatpur police limits here on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Anubhav Samal (59) of Satyabhamapur village and his 40-year-old daughter Anjali Swain.
According to reports, the incident occurred when Anubhav along with his daughter was headed towards the railway station at around 3 am. Meanwhile, a pick up van collided head on with their two-wheeler. Both fell and were seriously injured.
On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed to the hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. Meanwhile, both the vehicles have been seized and the bodies sent for postmortem.
