Kalahandi: While Odisha police have ramped up raids and seizures to curb the marketing of narcotics items, smugglers are coming up with new and unique ways to continue the illegal trade.
As per available reports, cops seized ganja stuffed inside saree packets in the Kesinga area of Kalahandi district.
Police also arrested three persons including a woman for their alleged connection to the case.
Reportedly, a car carrying the cannabis consignment was en route to Bolangir from Kalahandi’s Amapani area when a polie party intercepted the vehicle. Though cops initially found saree packets, after a thorough search they recovered the contraband cleverly hidden inside the packets.
