Rourkela: An ITI student died after falling off the roof of the hostel of a private college within Jhirpani police station limits in Rourkela on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Atulyan Jojo.
The incident took place at around 2-3 am in the wee hours of Sunday. However, the circumstance under which the student went to the roof and fell down is yet to be ascertained.
The deceased is Atulyan Jojo (23), a first-year ITI student, belongs to Hatibari area of Birmitrapur police station. However, it is yet to be known if he died by suicide by jumping off the roof or if it was an accident.
According to his roommates, they were asleep when he left the room late at night. Later, his friends and other hostel mates spotted his dead body lying in a pool of blood early this morning.
On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body from the rooftop of a building attached to the hostel. The police seized his mobile phone and earphone from the roof.

Police have informed The family of the deceased and started an investigation by delpoying a scientific team to ascertain the actial cause of death.
