Bhubaneswar: Director general of police (DGP) Sunil Kumar Bansal has ordered CB-CID to conduct an investigation into Gobinda Sahu suicide case.
Gobinda Sahu, the prime accused in the murder case, reportedly died by suicide on Tuesday.
According to sources, Sahu was found hanging backside of the cell where he was kept along with other under-trial prisoners. He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
While jail officials are tight-lipped about the incident, police have started inquiring into the alleged suicide.
