Bhubaneswar: The consensus on the much-talked alliance between the BJP and the BJD for the ensuing general elections is very likely on Wednesday. Whether the BJP will fight alone or in alliance with BJD in the upcoming elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will take the final decision by 11:30 am today.
On the orders of the top leadership, the exercise of Odisha BJP went on for two days at the Delhi residence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In this meeting, which was held on Monday and Tuesday, the state BJP has finalised the candidates for 147 assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats. The list will be given to the home minister tomorrow.
The two-day meeting was attended by BJP state president Manmohan Samal, Odisha election in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, election in-charge Lata Usendi , organizational secretary Manas Mohanty and other senior leaders. In the meeting, there was opposition to the alliance with BJD. A list of names of candidates with potential to win the 147 assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats was prepared. The exercise was completed late on Tuesday night.
According to the instructions of the Prime Minister and State Minister, the party has finalized the names of the candidates for each seat. The list was finalized in the presence of the Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, but it will be given to Amit Shah tomorrow. Also, BJP fought alone, which seats are sure to win and which are more likely to lose. will also be given. Based on that list, the top management will decide. Accordingly, the time is fixed at 11:30 am.
According to the information received, the proposal of BJJ has been given. 5 chairman Kartik Pandian and organization editor Pranab Prakash Das went to Delhi on a special flight last Thursday and they have already informed the final decision of BJJ.
