Puri: A man and his son were critically injured as a person threw acid on them over a land dispute at Uasapadar village under Krushna Prasad police limits in Puri district on Monday.
The accused has been identified as Santosh Maharana, while are Adhikari Tarei and his son Rajendra Tarei the victims in this incident.
According to sources, the accused threw acid on the father-son duo while they were working in the agricultural field. As a result, they both sustained critical injuries on different parts of their bodies.
Initially, they were rushed to the Krushna Prasad Community Health Centre and then shifted to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar as their condition deteriorated.
Based on a complaint lodged by the family members of the victims against Santosh, the police have detained the accused and initiated a probe into this matter.
