Deogarh: An elderly woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in a forest in Deogarh district today. The deceased woman has been identified as Jasmine Kujur (60).
According to reports, Jasmine, a resident of Phatatangar village under Deogarh forest range, had been to her farmland yesterday but did not return home.
However, Jasmine’s body was found near a forest this morning.
On being informed, Deogarh Ranger Debadutta Nanda, Deogarh Forester Bhimsen Satapathy and other forest officials reached the site and initiated an investigation.
