Keonjhar: A man has allegedly strangled his wife to death following a heated argument in the Telkoi locality of Keonjhar district.
The deceased has been identified as Bilas Pradhan, from Sinkulabahal village under Telkoi police limits.
According to reports, the accused, Pandaba Umanta returned to his home in an inebriated condition on Saturday night following which a verbal spat broke out between the couple. Irked over the matter, Pandaba allegedly strangled his wife to death buried the body in the backyard of his house in order to destroy the shred of shreds of evidence.
on getting information, police reached the spot recovered the body late last night for post-mortem.
Police have also detained the accused for questioning and further investigation is underway, said a police official.
