Cuttack: The childline officials have rescued a COVID-19 Infected minor girl whose parents succumbed to coronavirus at Choudwar on Sunday.
The minor girl has been identified as Rukmini Biswal (15), daughter of Narayan Biswal.
As per reports, Rukmini is the only daughter of Narayan Biswal and Sarojini who died due to Covid. Rukmini became lonely after her parent’s death
On the other hand, due to covid scare, no neighbour or relative came forward to help her. Consequently, she lived without any medical care, food, and water living in a distressed condition.
On receiving information, Childline Coordinator Narayan Sukla rushed to the spot and recovered the stranded minor from the home.
The girl was reportedly kept in a Child Care home in isolation after a primary health checkup. She will be put up before the District Child Welfare Board soon for her permanent rehabilitation, said Sukla.
