Bolangir: Over 15 armed miscreants barged into the house of a man on Tuesday night and took him away with them at Gopabandhu Nagar in Bolangir Town.
However, the man identified as Siba Prasad Behera was later released by the miscreants.
Some miscreants forcibly entered the house of Behera yesterday night at around 9 pm. They vandalised the furniture and vehicles kept inside the garage and kidnapped Behera.
Meanwhile, Behera’s son Bimal Kumar Behera, who was not present at the house during the incident, has alleged that the men were from Bibhutipada area of the town.
Bolangir Police rushed to the spot after receiving a complaint from Behera, after his release, and started an investigation into the incident.
