Bhawanipatna: Farmers have blocked the Moter to Mukhiguda main road near Gungunia in Jaipatna block of Kalahandi district demanding Indravati Left Canal water supply for irrigating their fields.
Reportedly, the Executive Engineer of Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, Mukhiguda, had earlier informed that the Indravati Dam water supply will be cut off during the Rabi season cultivation for repair work of the canal.
Because of it, water will be supplied for irrigation till 7 kilometres of the area surrounding the dam. However, the farmers had demanded the Collector for the supply of water till Gungunia Distributary.
