Arjun Singh captured the Men’s Singles 5.0 gold medal at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida, defeating Ashton Patterson 13-11, 11-6.
The 19-year-old also clinched the Under-18 Boys Doubles title with his elder brother Aditya Singh, underlining his versatility and teamwork. The victories added to his growing reputation as one of India’s most promising pickleball talents.
Arjun entered the tournament with confidence after his success at the IPA Nationals. In the singles final, he showcased composure and attacking flair under pressure, overcoming Patterson in straight games. Joe Moede secured the bronze medal.
The youngster’s rise has been steady. He was the youngest player at the inaugural Indian Pickleball League, representing Bengaluru Blasters, where he impressed with maturity and fearless play against seasoned professionals. His consistency earned him the Men’s Pickleball Player of the Year 2025 award, a recognition of both his achievements and potential.
Known for sharp anticipation and aggressive shot-making, Arjun’s double triumph in Naples marks another milestone in his career. The combination of singles and doubles success boosts his confidence and strengthens India’s presence in global pickleball.
India also celebrated another victory through Dhiren Patel, national chief coach and mentor, who won the 40+ Men’s Singles Pro title. Patel defeated Juan Arraya 11-9, 3-11, 11-9 in a thrilling final.
