The Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College, Berhampur, has constituted a five‑member enquiry committee to investigate alleged malpractice during the recent PG MD/MS examination, following widespread media coverage of the issue.
An official order issued by the Dean & Principal on July 30 stated that the committee, chaired by the Dean & Principal, will probe the incident that has “tarnished the image of the institution.”
The panel includes Prof. Sudepa Das (Superintendent), Dr. Sweta Kumar Dash (Registrar, Convener), Prof. Siba Prasad Pattanayak (HOD Surgery), Prof. Chandra Sekhar Tripathy (HOD Psychiatry), and Prof. Debabrata Nath Sharma (Anesthesiology).
The committee has been directed to submit its report within three working days. Copies of the order have been sent to the Director of Medical Education & Training, Odisha, the Health & Family Welfare Department, and the Controller of Examination, OUHS Bhubaneswar, for necessary action.
