A high‑level review meeting chaired by Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Y.B. Khurania was held today to assess security and safety arrangements for the upcoming visit of the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, on August 4.
Senior officials, including Director (Intelligence) R.P. Koche, ADGP (Law & Order) Sanjay Kumar, ADGP (SAP) Rajesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police (BBSR‑CTC) Dr. Devadatta Singh, Principal Chief Security Commissioner (ECoR) Alok Bohra, IGP (CR) Satyajit Naik, and SP, CID‑CB Vivekananda Sharma, attended the meeting.
The DGP directed all units to strictly adhere to the Blue Book protocols for VVIP security. Nodal officers are being designated to ensure seamless coordination among departments.
Preparatory measures include anti‑sabotage checks, intensified track patrolling, and manning of all level crossings along the route. Railway staff assigned for platform duty are being identified in advance, with duty passes issued for smooth access.
Comprehensive arrangements such as drone surveillance and continuous venue inspections are underway to strengthen preparedness. The DGP emphasised close coordination between Police, Railways, and administrative authorities to ensure a smooth, secure, and dignified visit for the Hon’ble President.
