Decision on Mahaprasad intake inside Srimandir likely to be taken on Feb 15

Puri: The decision to allow devotees for taking Mahaprasad in Ananda Bazar and the Srimandir premises will be taken on February 15.

The meeting between District Collector, Suar, Mahasuar and sevayats Nijogs at temple management committee here on Sunday deliberated on the issue.

It was decided that Mahaprasad will be sold to the devotees at the same price it was selling in 2018. If someone found selling the bhog above the prescribed price, then action will be taken against the concerned person.

The devotees have been allowed for darshan of Lord Jagannath since January 21 with Covid restrictions. The temple administration, however, is yet to allow devotees to take Mahaprasad inside the temple premises.

Worthwhile to mention here that there was growing concern among the devotees on intake Mahaprasad.
