Keonjhar: The woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a farmland near Mankadakenda village under Ramachandrapur police limits in Keonjhar district today.
The deceased has been identified as Meena Nayak from Mankadakenda village.
According to available information, Meena had gone to a nearby pond for fishing but did not return home. Following this, her family members and locals launched a frantic search but in vain.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after some locals spotted the body lying in the farmland in the nearby village and immediately alerted the police about the same.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. An investigation has been initiated in the matter, police said.
