Walkathon Held in Jajpur on 91st Birth Anniversary of Pradyumna Bal

Balichandrapur: On the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of Pradyumna Bal, Founder Editor of Pragativadi, a walkathon was held in Jajpur district early in the morning of 8th November.

The walkathon was organised from the ‘Freedom Fighter Garden’ of Bandareswar at Olasuni to Balichandrapur by Bandareswar Sangrami Academy, Badachana Gandhi Vrindaban Tripathy Memorial Sansad and freedom fighter Jagannath Mandhata Memorial Sansad.

The Chandikhol Bar Association Secretary Prakash Dash initiated the walkathon. The Balichandrapur sub inspector Gobardhan Nayak, social activist Debadutta Samal, CISF jawan Mithun Mallick, social activist Ashok Samal, Educationist Pramod Das, Journalist Satyananda Mallick, Subrat Samal were present.

The event was coordinated by Srikant Samal and operated by Naresh Pradhan, Ranjeet Das, Sumant Mallik, Umesh Samal, Ashutosh Maharana, and Smruti Ranjan Das.

In addition, Bibekananda Barik, Dhirendra Samal, Satyajeet Bal, Ashok Mallick, Rabi Narayan Sahu, Rabindra Parida, Shyamghan Nayak, Shusant Nayak, Satyananda Das, Niranjan Das, RASHMI Ranjan Das, Subrat Samal, Chandan Bhuyan, Sagar Behera, Sabyasachi Samantaray, Saroj Das, Aditya Moharana, Smrutikant Samal, and Raju Sahu participated as Volunteers.

Pragativadi’s Balichandrapur representative Sanjeet Samal conveyed “Thanks” to all the participants for taking part in the walkathon.

Chintan Kumar Khuntia bagged the first position, while Kamal Lochan Samal and Lipesh Prushty secured the second and third positions. The winners of the walkathon were awarded in the 91st Birth Anniversary Ceremony of Pradymna Bal held at the Pragativadi Office in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was the Chief Guest at the memorial event and Ranendra Pratap Swain attended as an honourable guest. Dr. Achyuta Samanta presided over the session.
