Very Heavy To Extremely Heavy Rainfall To Lash These Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: Due to prevalent monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) with isolated extremely heavy (>20cm) rainfall to occur over six districts of Odisha during next 24 hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre today issued Red Warning in these districts for the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

Red Warning (Take Action)- Scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) with isolated extremely heavy rainfall (>20cm) is very likely to occur over the districts of Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sonepur, Bargarh, Nuapada and Sambalpur.

Orange Warning (Be Prepared)- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Boudh, Cuttack, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning (Be Updated)- Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Nayagarh, Jajpur and Rayagada.
