Bhubaneswar: Union Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh called on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday. Singh met Patnaik at the latter’s residence Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar.
The Union Minister informed on Twitter that he met Odisha Chief Minister and discussed about the development of steel sector in the state.
“Rourkela Steel plant will be expanded which will create economic and employment opportunities in the state,” Singh wrote.

The Union Steel Minister presented the Odisha CM with pictures of Rourkela Steel Plant’s association with the latter’s father, the legendary Biju Patnaik framed in one. Patnaik also presented Singh a jersey of Hockey India.
Union Steel Minister arrived in Odisha today on a two day visit to chair ‘Conference with Mines and Industry Ministers’ of mineral rich states of the country at Konark, Odisha on 25th and 26th February 2022. The Conference is aimed at promoting India’s growth story in steel sector.
