Agartala: The district magistrate of West Tripura, Sailesh Kumar Yadav apologised for disrupting a marriage at Manikya Court in Tripura, saying he didn’t intend to “hurt anyone’s sentiments”.
Yadav had allegedly stopped the wedding ceremony when it was halfway through at a venue here on Monday night.
The video of the same also went viral on social media.
In the video, the DM was seen shoving out the bridegroom, arresting everyone present including the bride and groom’s family and tearing up a written permission for the wedding signed by himself.
Over 30 people were arrested and released later.
