Sikkim’s Jetshen Dohna Lama wins Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 9

Mumbai: Jetshen Dohna Lama, a nine-year-old girl from Sikkim, is the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 9, the hit singing reality show involving children. She takes the trophy and the prize money of Rs. 10 lakh.

Nicknamed “mini Sunidhi Chauhan” singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan, Lama took up music at the age of three. Soft-spoken and almost always with a smile, Lama was adored by all the judges and the show’s host, Bharti Singh.

The singing powerhouse is from Sikkim’s Pakyong district.

Jetshen Dohna Lama was crowned as the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Season 9 amidst much fanfare and celebrations. She was much loved by the judges and viewers of the show. Harsh Sikandar and Dnyaneshwari Ghadge were announced as the first and second runners-up respectively. The other finalists of the singing reality show were Rafa Yeasmin, Atanu Mishra, and Atharva Bakshi.

Jetshen was just three years old when she took up music. She has been appreciated by every judge, jury member, and celebrity guest for her singing. She was even nicknamed ‘Mini Sunidhi Chauhan’ by judge Shankar Mahadevan. The young girl even impressed the CM of Sikkim and boxing champion Mary Kom!

Elated at the victory, Jetshen said, “This is a dream come true for me! Honestly, the competition was tough as all the contestants of the season are very talented and I really feel grateful that I got to share the stage with them. My journey on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Season 9 has been a great learning experience for me and I am immensely grateful to all my mentors who have constantly supported me and helped me understand my potential as a singer. I am definitely taking a bundle of memories along with me and am looking forward to my new singing journey.”
