Puri: Students of the DAV Public School miraculously escaped when their school bus developed smoke and caught fire on its way to take them to the school near Bayakuda chhak in Puri district this morning.
As per sources, after picking the students up from their homes, the school bus proceeded to the school. Around 9:30 am fire broke out from the tyre of the bus. Locals noticed the fire and chased the bus to inform the driver about the incident. The bus driver immediately stopped the vehicle and called the fire brigades.
Meanwhile, the students were brought down from the bus safety and the school management was alerted about the mishap. No students suffered any burn injuries in the mishap.
The fire service personnel on being informed rushed to the spot to douse the flames. However, no students suffered any burn injuries in the mishap.
