Dr. Aravind Padhee, Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple, expressed satisfaction and gratitude after the successful completion of the Adapa Mandap Pahandi rituals on Sunday.
He said,
“Jai Shri Jagannath! With the cooperation of all servitors and Jagannath-loving devotees, the Pahandi to Adapa Mandap was carried out beautifully and smoothly. At 9:30 AM, Lord Jagannath reached His Janmabedi (birthplace). Prior to that, the ceremonial procession of Lord Sudarshan, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra was also completed in a graceful and organised manner.”
Dr. Padhee emphasised that the rituals were conducted in a timely and disciplined fashion:
“We are deeply thankful to everyone involved. There were no reports of disorder. All the servitors performed the rituals with dedication and coordination. No mobile phones were used on the chariots, and the servitors followed all the planned protocols diligently.”
He highlighted the smooth darshan experience for the devotees:
“Devotees had a divine and serene darshan of the deities on the chariots. At the Adapa Mandap, all scheduled rituals of the deities will be observed.”
Dr. Padhee added that following the Mangala Alati tomorrow morning, other important rituals will commence, and public darshan will resume:
“From tomorrow, devotees will be able to relish the famous Adapa Abhada (Mahaprasad). The rituals until now have been completed exactly on time, and I extend heartfelt thanks to all.”
The successful observance of today’s rituals brings a sense of relief and joy to pilgrims and servitors alike, especially in the wake of the recent unfortunate stampede incident.
