Odisha Vigilance officials on Monday launched a massive crackdown on Dayanidhi Bagh, Joint Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
The senior officer, who earlier served as Project Director of Watershed in Rayagada, is under the scanner following complaints of amassing assets beyond known sources of income.
Acting on search warrants from the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna, simultaneous raids were carried out at eight locations in Bhubaneswar, Kalahandi, and Nabarangpur linked to Bagh and his family.

The raids are still ongoing and detailed inventories of properties, bank accounts, and documents are being verified.
A Vigilance source confirmed that the probe aims to assess the total value of assets in comparison to Bagh’s legal income. Further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
