Khurda: Police have seized a huge cache of ganja from a car at Reliance petrol pump on NH-16 in Khurda district and arrested a person in this connection.
The arrestee has been identified as Akaash Kumar Sahu (25) from Jamusahi village under Phatehgarh police limits in the Nayagarh district.
Acting on reliable input about the contraband, police conducted a raid at the petrol pump and seized around 1 quintal of ganja from the car.
The estimated value of the seized contraband is Rs 10 Lakh, police informed.
It seems Khurda has turned into a new destination for the drugs mafia with rampant trade of illegal narcotics like ganja spreading its tentacles across the area.
