Boudh: As many as 640 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup have been seized by police during checking at Gandhi Chhak near Tel river bridge in Manamunda of Boudh district on Sunday.
According to reports, during checking the Manamunda Police they noticed a car coming from Boudh side on NH-57 towards Sonepur. Seeing the police party from a distance, the driver of the car suddenly turned back and tried to escape from the spot. However, the police party caught him.
Following a thorough search, 640 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup of 100 ml each contained in four cartoons were found from the back side dicky of the car. Four strips of Clonafid 0.5 Mg Tablet were also found in the car.
The cops also arrested the driver of the vehicle as he failed to produce any valid document in this regard. Further investigation is underway in this connection.
