Odisha Higher Education Dept Modifies Timeline For UG, PG Admission

Bhubaneswar: After the State government announced July 29 as public holiday on account of “Muharram’, the Higher Education department has changed the timeline for admission into various courses of UG and PG.

In a letter to the principals of government and non-government colleges and PG council chairpersons of universities, the department stated that all the Higher Education Institutions shall remain open on 28.07.2023(Friday)

Accordingly, the timeline for U.G & B.Ed. Courses will be postponed.

For Under Graduate, applicants will report at allotted Institutions on August 3 instead of July 31. Data updation of admitted students in the e-space by the respective Institutions (for Second Round Admission) will also be held on the same date.

For B.Ed,M.Ed, B.H.Ed, date of reporting of applicants and data updation of admitted students has been rescheduled.  The activity which was scheduled to be held on July 29(Saturday) has been rescheduled to July 31.

The changes were made following State government’s announcement July 29 as holiday for “Muharram.

The holiday will be applicable to state government offices as well as Revenue and Magisterial courts (Executive).

“The Government of Odisha has been pleased to declare holiday on 29.07.2023 (Saturday) instead of 28.07.2023 (Friday) on account of Muharram for the state government offices as well as the Revenue and Magisterial Courts (Executive),” an official notification said
