New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the choice-filling process for the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling today, August 16.
Candidates may enter their preferences on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. Students registered for the first phase of NEET UG 2024 counselling, under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, can submit their choices by August 20, 11:55 pm.
The facility to confirm and lock choices will be open from 4 pm to 11:55 pm on August 20. The results of the seat allotment will be announced on August 23, 2024.
Candidates who have registered can fill their choices by following these steps:
Step 1:Â Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
Step 2:Â Click on the “MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 Round 1 Choice Filling” link on the homepage.
Step 3:Â Enter your registration details and submit.
Step 4:Â Fill in your choices.
Step 5:Â Submit the choices and download the confirmation page.
Step 6:Â Keep a printed copy for future reference.
Here is the detailed schedule for the NEET UG 2024 counselling:
- Verification of Tentative Seat Matrix:Â August 14 to August 16, 2024
- Registration/Payment: August 14, 2024, to August 21, 2024, until 12:00 (Server Time). The payment facility will be available until 3:00 PM on August 21, 2024.
- Choice Filling/Locking: August 16, 2024, to August 20, 2024, until 11:55 PM (Server Time). Choice Locking will be available from 4:00 PM on August 20, 2024, until 11:55 PM on the same day.
- Processing of Seat Allotment:Â August 21, 2024, to August 22, 2024
- Result Announcement:Â August 23, 2024
- Reporting/Joining:Â August 24, 2024, to August 29, 2024
- Verification of Joined Candidates Data by Institutes and Sharing of Data by MCC:Â August 30 to August 31, 2024
This year, 24,06,079 students registered for the NEET UG exam, with 23,33,297 appearing on May 5, 2024. The initial results were announced on June 4, 2024. A retest was conducted on June 23, 2024, with results released on June 30, 2024. The final NEET UG result was published on July 26, 2024. The total number of MBBS and BDS seats is 1,09,170 and 27,868 respectively.
