Bijapur: In a remote village in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, Maoists hanged two men to death, accusing them of being police informers.
The victims were identified as Madvi Suja and Podiam Kosa.
The Maoists abducted three villagers, including a school student, and held a ‘Jan Adalat’ (kangaroo court) before releasing the school student.
The Maoists’ Bhairamgarh area committee claimed responsibility for the murder, stating that the victims were acting as police informers.
Reportedly, police teams have been sent to the spot to gather further details about the incident.
