Phulbani: Maoists allegedly killed a couple, suspecting them to be police informers, at Kusari village under Salaguda Panchayat within Gochhapada police station limits in Kandhamal district.
The deceased couple has been identified as Dahira Kanhar and Batasi Kanhar.
According to initial reports, the bodies of the couple were spotted inside the forest near the village this morning.
It is suspected that the red rebels took the couple from their house at around 9 pm on Friday and murdered them inside the deep forest.
On being informed, police reached the scene and are investigating the incident.
